More inspiring ideas for the Challenge!
Following on from last week’s list of ideas, here are some further subject based suggestions to help get your team’s Money for Life Challenge entry started.
Remember – these are just possibilities – you can be as creative and imaginative as you like in your bid to reach the Grand Final!
- Hairdressing and Beauty – could a team develop tips for saving money or compare luxury versus less luxurious products perhaps by testing products over a week and comparing results? Money saving beauty tips etc. ‘Get that look on a budget!’
- Catering – could a team do a food challenge, cooking on a budget perhaps? Looking at this from a new angle such as preparing Christmas dinner on a budget? Or maybe look at the cost of fair trade and how this impacts on those in other countries.
- Environmental – could a team look into recycling, less waste, tips on energy costs etc?
- Language – could a team explore different currencies when going abroad or the cost of living in other countries – are there things we can learn from other parts of the world?
- Health and Social Care – could a team look at how debt can affect mental health, the cost of healthy living etc?
- Business and Finance – could a team do a Dragons Den experience or come up with business ideas to make or save money?
- Employability – could a team look at dressing for a job interview on a budget? Tips on dealing with managing some money for the first time if you gain employment. Could you offer information around National Insurance, minimum wage etc?
- Marketing – could a team look at the power of advertising, how this impacts on how we spend our money? Look at different media campaigns, what impact do they have?
